When visitors submit forms here at the site data from the forms is collected, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string (to help spam detection).
For some functionality (not currently extant on the site, but a potential future usage), an anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here:
https://automattic.com/privacy/.
Cookies
If you fill out a form on this site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address, and website information in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you fill out another form. These cookies will last for one year, and are stored in your browser's cache.
Note that your browser and/or operating system may have their own form-filling functionality, unrelated to the cookies used by this site. I have no control over what's going on with that.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Technical Bits
This site utilizes caching for faster response times and a better user experience (I'm doing this for you!). Caching potentially stores a duplicate copy of every web page displayed on this site. All cache files are temporary, and are never accessed by any third party, except as necessary to obtain technical support from the cache plugin vendor. Cache files expire on a schedule set by the site administrator but may easily be purged by the admin before their natural expiration, if necessary. We may use QUIC.cloud services to process & cache your data temporarily. Please see
https://quic.cloud/privacy-policy/ for more details.
If you fill out forms on this site, Akismet, my anti-spam vendor, collects information about you. The information typically includes the form user's IP address, user agent, referrer, and this site's address (along with other information directly provided by you, such as your name, email address, and message text itself).
