Davi Gray
Who?
My name is Davi Gray. My pronouns are they/she. I am a queer, trans, nonbinary poet, writer, artist, storyteller, activist, and abolitionist.
Where?
I live in Minneapolis (Bde Óta Othúŋwe), with a mouthful of bitter joy, an uninvited but thankful guest on these lands stolen from the Dakota and Ojibwe.
What?
I write! Mostly poetry, though I’m leaning harder into nonfiction work (and fiction makes occasional cameo appearances).
There are a few pieces in print, which you can find on my Works in Print page. My first chapbook is scheduled to come out later this year, as part of the ReEntry Lab & ArtStart Writing Fellowship.
I travel around the Twin Cities taking part in readings and various other shenanigans often. You can find out where I’m going to be reading by checking out my Events Calendar (look for the ones marked with asterisks if you want to see/hear me perform).
I’m also working with the ReEntry Lab to help create bridges between writers and other artists leaving incarceration with the larger arts community and other social-justice-focused organizations. I’d love to talk more about this work if you’re interested!
How can you get more of this?
- Get in touch!
- Book me for a reading, talk, performance, consultation.
- Sign me to a book contract (I won’t be mad at you, promise).
- Buy some merch. (Only available at my performances, and only for people who actually attend, sorry.)
- Drop some coin in my tip jar.
